Kuru Dance

This year's festival features 15 dance groups from Botswana, as well as the acclaimed Ndlondlo Zulu group from South Africa. The festival is a unique cultural experience to all those who attend, allowing us to share in the rich culture and beautiful traditional dances and music of the San People. This celebration of the San culture is catered both to locals and to a wider international audience.

The Kuru Dance Festival was created by the Kuru Development Trust, and is sponsored by Barclays Bank of Botswana and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture.

The Kuru Development Trust focuses on economic empowerment for the San people.
